Plot Overview
“Sword of Coming” follows the story of Chen Ping’an, a seemingly ordinary young man from a small, quiet town. Growing up with little to no cultivation talent, Chen Ping’an led a life of hardship after the early loss of his parents. To survive, he took on various odd jobs, from delivering letters to laboring in porcelain kilns, despite having promised his mother he’d never do so.
However, Chen Ping’an’s mundane existence is upended when a group of mysterious outsiders arrives in his town, setting off a chain of strange and otherworldly events. Soon, he learns that the legends of powerful immortal cultivators, dragons, and mystical beings—stories that had long been dismissed as mere folklore—are indeed real. Unintentionally, Chen Ping’an is drawn into a world of martial arts, mysticism, and cultivation, setting off on a perilous adventure he never imagined.
With the odds stacked against him, Chen Ping’an embarks on a journey to uncover his potential and rise to the top in a world full of dangers and ancient secrets.

The story is adapted from the popular Chinese web novel Sword of Coming by Fenghuo Xi Zhuhou, a well-known author on the Zongheng Novels app, under Qimao.
The stunning animation is crafted by Cloud Art Studio, the same studio behind Jade Dynasty. With just six episodes currently released as of August 15, 2024, Sword of Coming has already started gaining attention with its captivating story and breathtaking action sequences.
